Job description
We are looking for a Social Inclusion Manager to oversee Arsenal in the Community’s estates football programme, which provide safe spaces for young people to engage in positive activity and access personal development opportunities through youth work based approaches.

Your day-to-day
- Managing the Social Inclusion Coordinators to deliver activities across Islington, Camden, Hackney and Westminster.
- Working with the wider team to embed department strategy within all Social Inclusion programmes.
- Providing effective management and support to full-time and sessional coaching staff and volunteers delivering on the programmes in-line with club procedures.
- Regularly conducting quality assurance to ensure that sessions are delivered to a high standard and compliant with club policies and processes.
- Identifying and creating personal development opportunities which can be promoted to local young people.
- Developing and maintaining positive relationships with key partners such as local authority services, youth and community organisations as well as the Premier League Charitable Fund.
- Producing monitoring and evaluation reports for the programme funders.
- Driving a culture of CPD across the Community Department.
- Ensuring that Equality, Diversity and Inclusion is promoted within the Social Inclusion workforce and programmes.
What we are looking for
- Youth Work Level 3 (desirable) or equivalent
- UEFA B Coaching Qualification (desirable)
- Valid, up to date certifications in First Aid and Safeguarding Children.
- Previous experience of working in community and youth work settings.
- Project Management and Community Event Management experience.
- Able to deliver talks and presentations to diverse groups of young people.
- Experience of working in areas which is high in anti-social behaviour or youth violence.
- Experience of working with young people who are in the criminal justice system.
- Team player with a flexible can-do approach.
- Strong knowledge of youth work practices.
- Understanding of Trauma Informed Approaches to working with young people.
- Knowledge and passion for how sport can contribute to achieving social outcomes.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to communicate effectively with participants of all ages.
- An understanding of and a demonstrable commitment to promoting principles of Equalities, Diversity, and Inclusion both in the workplace and in the wider community.
