Position: Social Worker – Family Safeguarding Team
Role Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Social Worker to join a Family Safeguarding Team. As a Social Worker in this dynamic team, you will be responsible for working with families facing various challenges, including domestic violence, substance abuse, mental health issues, neglect, and other safeguarding concerns. Your primary goal will be to assess the needs of families, develop and implement tailored support plans, and coordinate with other agencies to provide comprehensive services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting thorough assessments of families to identify risks, strengths, and support needs.
- Creating and implementing effective support plans in collaboration with families and relevant stakeholders.
- Monitoring and reviewing progress regularly to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families.
- Building strong and trusting relationships with families to promote engagement and positive change.
- Collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams, including police, healthcare professionals, educators, and others.
- Providing crisis intervention and immediate support when necessary.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case records and documentation.
- Representing the organization in court proceedings, as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Social Work or a related field.
- Full Social Work registration and certification as per the local regulations.
- Proven experience in child protection and safeguarding work.
- Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and best practices.
- Ability to manage a demanding caseload while maintaining high standards of practice.
- Strong assessment, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated on relevant practices and research.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £39,837.00-£52,368.00 per year
