ROLE PURPOSE:
The Social Media Officer will oversee the day-to-day management of the channels and help develop our social media presence and tone of voice. You will need to have good social media experience, particularly Instagram and TikTok with knowledge of Linked In, Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube, a keen eye for detail, and a good writing style. You will need to be able to work on your own initiative and learn new skills quickly to develop the role and provide full support to the wider team.
The salary offered for this position will be commensurate with experience in a similar role.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, create, and post content for the ACM social channels in line with key marketing moments
- Take direction from the Marketing Manager in organising the channel content calendar, ensuring it is constantly updated across all channels with copy and assets.
- Take direction from the Digital Marketing Manager in organising photo and video sessions, social media scheduling, and liaising with the graphic designer
- Help with reporting on all channels including follower growth, engagement, traffic, and conversion.
- Work with the broader Marketing team to develop and execute new content ideas.
- Attend meetings as may be required from time to time.
- Research our competitors and present back findings to the Marketing team
- Carry out any other duties as may be reasonably required by the Marketing Manager
PERSON SPECIFICATION:
Essential Experience
- Understanding of all main social media platforms.
- Experience working with internal departments to collaboratively produce integrated social media campaigns.
- Proven experience in writing content for social media for different target audiences
- Be a motivated and committed individual with a passion for social media and desire to grow in the role
- Ability to work with graphic redactors (Canva, Adobe Photoshop) on a basic level
- Ability to plan, implement and measure campaigns (with the help of scheduling tools like Sprout Socials).
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative
Essential Skills
- Copywriting skills and an eye for sub-editing text to house style and storytelling
- Have strong organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Comfortable working in a fast paced and ever changing environment
- Flexible with a can do attitude
