We are currently looking for a Part-Time Social Media & Marketing Executive to work alongside our Director, Heather Mason, to help promote our business, reach more organisations that could benefit from therapeutic yoga, and support us in our mission of elevating the field of yoga therapy.
In addition to at least 2 years prior experience in social media and/or marketing, the successful candidate must possess excellent writing ability and be able to flex between a scientific and creative voice. A keen eye for detail, knowledge of and significant experience with Google Ads and WordPress, and an ability to solve problems in innovative ways, are skills essential for this role.
The Minded Institute is a world leader in providing expert yoga therapy education to yoga and health professionals to work with mental and physical health conditions. The Institute is known for working at the interface between yoga therapy, mindfulness, neurophysiology, psychotherapeutic principles and evidence-based practice.

Working closely alongside the Director, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing all social media platforms, creating social media campaigns, sending newsletters, keeping up to date with new and exciting content, website updates, and delivering outstanding service to new and existing customers. This role also involves identifying and maximising sales and marketing opportunities, focussing on the growth and reputation of The Minded Institute within Europe and Internationally and coming up with innovative ways to elevate the field of yoga therapy.
It is vital that candidates have a natural aptitude and a love for writing. Whether that's a blog post, website content, social media posts or newsletters, the successful candidate will spend much of their time researching and writing a range of marketing related content and produce engaging, superbly written material. Days can be quite varied, and participants should be able to manage and prioritise competing goals.
In the role, the successful candidate will:
- Manage the day-to-day activity across all social media platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube), ensuring a steady follower growth and monitoring of comments and direct messaging.
- Create written content for social media platforms and company website, covering upcoming training courses and emerging research within the world of yoga, yoga therapy, mindfulness and wellbeing.
- Create graphics using Canva (or other tools) to accompany social media posts and website content.
- Engage in innovative ways to promote The Minded Institute across social media platforms and other appropriate online channels to increase brand awareness, community following and company revenue.
- Develop marketing campaigns in view of long-term company goals.
- Manage all new and existing customer relationships and partnerships, responding to enquiries via social media and email.
- Update the website with new products.
- Manage Google Ads & keep up to date with Google Analytics.
- Continually identify opportunities to promote and upsell training courses.
- Create weekly newsletters for a variety of audiences promoting upcoming courses, company updates and partnerships.
- Write monthly blog posts.
- Actively research new findings, papers, books in the world of yoga and yoga therapy to inform social media and content production.
- Promote inclusivity and diversity across all content.
- Actively research and feedback to Director and Institute Manage any emerging trends within social media and digital marketing that will support the growth of The Minded Institute.
- Support with ad-hoc administration projects when required.
- Produce reporting as required by the Director on key metrics.
We are looking for someone with:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and attention to detail.
- Degree-level education.
- Experience in managing social media channels and marketing campaigns.
- Demonstrable Customer Service experience.
- Experience using Canva or similar image creation application.
- Experience creating copy and adapting to brand tone of voice according to the target audience.
- The ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once.
- The ability to work self-sufficiently and who excels working under their own direction.
- Innovative problem-solving skills.
- Adaptability within a dynamic and evolving work environment.
- The ability to respond to challenges and difficulties with compassion and resilience.
- IT literacy and the ability to support technological issues.
Our ideal candidate will also have:
- A demonstrable interest in yoga, mental health and wellbeing.
- Experience in academic research, or of writing critical reviews of research papers.
- Experience using WordPress.
- Experience in photography and videography.
- Experience working in a customer-facing role.
- Experience in web design, or website management (e.g. WordPress).
- Experience using marketing software (e.g. MailChimp) or creating marketing assets (e.g. Canva).
- Experience in administration and booking management systems.
