As a Laboratory Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in performing routine analysis and laboratory testing procedures to gather essential data that drives innovation in the pharmaceutical industry.

Essential Functions:

  • Conduct and meticulously document analytical procedures in accordance with SOPs and regulatory guidelines.
  • Perform routine data analysis to ensure analytical procedures meet expectations and maintain results within acceptable tolerances.
  • Identify and meticulously document any potential performance errors or unusual results, promptly escalating them to senior lab personnel.
  • Prepare data analysis results for uploading to the LIMS system under the guidance of senior staff.
  • Collaborate in quality investigations, deviations, and resolution efforts.
  • Prepare buffers and solutions required for analysis.
  • Contribute to the review and enhancement of laboratory procedures and techniques.
  • Mentor entry-level staff in routine procedures and facilitate the onboarding of new team members.
  • Expertly calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment as assigned, ensuring precision and accuracy.
  • Provide hands-on training and document progress for fellow lab personnel in areas of proven competency.
  • Play a role in the review and development of laboratory procedures and techniques.
  • Support the implementation of procedural changes as needed.
  • Proactively communicate supply shortages to inventory staff to prevent disruptions.
  • Represent the lab team in cross-functional projects, demonstrating your collaborative spirit.
  • Maintain clear, accurate, and timely communication with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Engage in continuous education through self-study, training sessions, lectures, and meetings.
  • Uphold safety, quality, and 6S requirements and initiatives.
  • Adhere to company procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Some CAP/CLIA lab locations may require a BS in chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology degree.
  • At least 6 months of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
  • Possesses basic knowledge of the assigned technical area, systems, and procedures gained through prior work experience.
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of the functional area and associated responsibilities.
  • Proficient in relevant laboratory techniques.
  • Knowledgeable about laboratory safety and infection control procedures, including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling.
  • Experience working with automation or specialized laboratory equipment.
  • Proficient in routine and some non-routine laboratory calculations related to batches and specimens, including averages, means, standard deviations, and various quality control metrics.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional multitasking abilities.
  • Keen attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy.
  • Strong collaborative skills to effectively work with internal stakeholders.
  • Any applicable certifications or licenses required by country, state, and/or other regulatory bodies.
