SFCC provides a high-quality, geographically, financially and emotionally accessible education to more than 5,000 students who range from traditional college-age students to adult learners.
The college offers associate of arts, associate of fine arts, associate of science and associate of applied science degrees, professional and skills certificates, and noncredit courses and programs, and workforce development training in a 14-county area in central Missouri with locations in Sedalia, Boonville, Clinton, Eldon, Lake of the Ozarks, Warsaw, at Whiteman Air Force Base, and online.
Position Purpose: As a member of the Marketing and Communications team, the Digital and Social Media Manager will deliver creative and innovative communication strategies utilizing web, social media and multimedia platforms that promote the college’s programs, services and people; maintain a coordinated and dynamic online presence; and ensure a consistent image that supports the college’s mission and adds value to teaching, learning and social engagement.
Create, Maintain and manage the college’s social media accounts
- Create original digital content (video, photos and graphics) and repurpose existing content in accordance with SFCC branding.
- Post on official accounts FB, Snapchat, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Pinterest, Linked In, YouTube, and more as needs and trends develop.
- Monitor and regulate additional accounts across the college
- 10 Facebook Accounts
- 5 Instagram Accounts
- 10 Twitter Accounts
- Create Snapchat filters and Facebook frames for events
- Produce, record, and edit videos for social medis
- Monitor all SFCC accounts (primary and secondary)
- Review special social requests
- Monitor, identify, evaluate and recommend emerging technologies and media for their relevance to marketing objective and tactics and the college's strategic plan
- Create bit.ly links for tracking purposes
- Run insights on social accounts and adjust for social patterns
- Ensure/maintain copyright and integrity as well as compliances for social presence
- Set up accounts/permissions and manage all social account passwords
- Create a "team" atmosphere for social admins
- Cover special events for social postings
- Create social campaigns for the Daum, Arts, Athletics and others
- Post emergency and weather communications - institution wide
- Monitor and report on any activity related to SFCC (Google Alerts, Hashtags)
Produce Video, graphics, and publications
Produce, shoot, edit video for marketing, departments, and social media- Produce graphics for web and social media
- Create and design publications (flyers, poster, programs, etc.) for marketing
Develop and maintain content for college websites
- Maintain, post and monitor sfccmoroadrunners.com (primary) and www.sfccmo.edu (secondary)
- Post rosters, import photographs, update links for each sport per year, create camp pages.
- Edit, monitor and post events and new stories to sfccmo.edu
- Trouble shoot reserve it (featured entries)
- Resize images for press releases
Coordinate digital calendars
- Maintain centralized calendar comprised of events from athletics, academics, facilities, and community.
- Keep website calendars up to date
- Post events to college Facebook pages
Secondary Responsibilities
Provide support for service desk service tickets- Create, maintain and troubleshoot EBBY (Main Digital Sign)
- T-shirt designer (campus store and program requests)
- Photograph events for social media
- Create/maintain documentation for athletic processes
Other Duties and Responsibilities
Attend events and activities on weekends and evenings- Respond to social media questions and inquiries in a timely manner
- Provide support to other areas in marketing and communication as needed
- Support the mission and vision of the college

Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree, 1-3 years of experience in social media management
Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communication or closely related field. 3-5 years of experience in social media management, and proficient photography/videography skills.
