The Senior Social Media Manager leads the day-to-day operations our social media strategy across our brands’ social media accounts, our portfolio of products and our lifestyle marketing efforts. It is this role’s responsibility to plan and execute keeping our company on the cutting-edge of social media strategy and community engagement, and to ensure that the Monster Energy Company’s brands’ culture is actively and accurately represented and nurtured within our fans and communities. They must be a social media mad scientist, willing to be creative and push the boundaries of what’s possible with community-based marketing.
Essential Job Functions:
- SOCIAL MEDIA OPERATIONS: lead the day-to-day management of social media accounts including content schedules, community engagement, live event coverage and performance analysis. Spearhead communications with cross-functional teams including Digital Marketing, Brand Management, Creative Services and Lifestyle Marketing.
- TEAM MANAGEMENT: Manage and mentor a team of Social Media Managers and Specialists. Drive planning and communications with the team to ensure clear workflows, consistent accountability and measured progress towards goals. Identify and articulate needs for resources in forecasting discussions w/ senior leadership.
- SUPPORT STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT: Serve as a senior support to the Digital leadership group in shaping social media strategy. Focus on prioritizing community-oriented programming and resources, with anticipation of trends and innovation that can impact the company's direction.
- DRIVE ANALYSIS & INTELLIGENCE: Be the leader of all reporting and analysis, focused on clear, consistently measured impact with action-oriented reporting. Bring new trends, ideas and/or philosophies to the business for exploration with clear business cases in support. Devote time to trend and competitive research.
- SUPPORT PARTNERSHIP MARKETING: Liaise with partnership teams such as Lifestyle Marketing and Brand Management to plan co-marketing efforts including ambassadors, digital creators and influencers, social followers and event/IP partners. Lead development of social engagement and content plans for comarketing moments.
Position Requirements:
- +5 years of experience in social media.
- +2 years of experience managing other employees.
- Working experience with social media SAAS platforms and content management systems is preferred.
- Media certifications such as Google, Meta and/or more are a plus.
- Studies in marketing, communications and/or related fields with a background in digital marketing.
