Position Overview
As a vital member of our team, you will spearhead the development and execution of comprehensive social media strategies to enhance the online presence of our talented artists. Your work will make a significant impact in the music industry, by amplifying our artists’ reach and fostering meaningful connections with their fans on a global scale.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive social media campaigns to enhance our artists’ reach and impact across various platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and YouTube.
- Create engaging and shareable content that aligns with our artists’ brand image and resonates with their target audience.
- Maintain a content calendar to ensure consistent and timely delivery of captivating posts, videos, and other media.
- Monitor social media trends, track key performance indicators, and provide regular reports to evaluate the success of campaigns.
- Foster meaningful connections with fans by engaging with their comments, inquiries, and messages on social media channels.
- Collaborate with internal teams to coordinate promotional efforts, including album releases, concert tours, and other marketing initiatives.
- Stay updated with the latest industry developments, emerging platforms, and digital marketing techniques to maximise our artists’ online visibility.
Essential Qualities
- Proven experience as a Social Media Manager or similar role, preferably within the music or entertainment industry.
- Deep understanding of social media platforms, algorithms, and best practices for content optimisation.
- Excellent creative and storytelling skills, with the ability to craft compelling narratives and develop engaging content.
- Proficiency in social media management tools, analytics platforms, and scheduling software.
- Strong organisational project management abilities, including multitasking and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with artists, team members, and external partners.
- Passion for music and a keen eye for identifying trends, emerging artists, and opportunities for our talent roster.
Desirable Qualities
- Educated to degree standard in a relevant subject area.
- Experience working with musicians, record labels, or music-related organisations.
- Familiarity with digital advertising and paid social media campaigns.
- Graphic design skills and knowledge of photo and video editing software.
- Understanding of SEO principles and the ability to optimise social media content for search visibility.
- Knowledge of copyright and intellectual property laws as they relate to social media marketing in the music industry.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to network and build relationships with influencers, bloggers, and other industry professionals.
