Activate Learning are looking for a Social Media Executive to join our growing Marketing and Communications team and be responsible for helping to shape and implement the organic social media strategy for Activate Learning’s colleges, adult education provision, apprenticeships, B2B, and commercial areas.
As a Social Media Executive, you will be writing high quality copy and creating content for a variety of engaging campaigns, as well as monitoring, reporting and optimising. You will play a lead role in developing, distributing, and converting our digital communications, in line with our overall communications objectives.
You will have oversight of all organic social media activity and will work with the team to manage the Activate Learning group’s social media channels day-to-day including Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Working collaboratively with the Marketing and Communications team you will showcase and plan engaging and informative content that captures our variety of target audiences and drives brand awareness and digital connectivity.
Permanent, full-time role
Location: Flexibility to be based at any of our campuses in Oxford, Reading, Bracknell, Reading, Guildford or Merrist Wood, with opportunities of working from home and may require occasional travel to other sites.
Salary: £25,927 - 27,794 per annum, depending on skills and experience
What do you need to be a successful Social Media Executive at Activate Learning?
We are looking for proactive and organised individuals, with broad experience across organic social media and managing and analysing campaigns across multiple social channels.
You need to be driven, self-motivated and creative with strong copywriting skills. You will be a confident communicator with great interpersonal skills to play a key part in both your team and the organisation.
We are looking for someone who makes Activate Learning resonate with our various target audiences, who isn't afraid to try new things and position us in the right way to our thousands of followers and the wider communities that we are part of.
About you:
- Demonstrable experience in organic social media management
- Experience working with social media platforms, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and LinkedIn
- Experience with TikTok is desirable, but not essential
- Previous experience of working within education sector is desirable, but not essential
