The Job:
Responsibility for ensuring Saab Seaeye’s systems are fully commissioned and tested including system Factory Acceptance Testing, Offshore installation, Harbour and Sea Trials when applicable. To ensure all vehicles are tested, installed and commissioned to a high standard and to exceed the customer’s expectations.
Job Specific accountabilities and responsibilities:
- To take responsibility for the successful commissioning of ROV systems after integration and testing, ensuring the system is ready for customer acceptance (FAT) and delivery.
- To assist, mentor and train the integration teams in the final commissioning and testing of the systems.
- To liaise with projects and sales during the handover process to ensure all agreed customer specifications and configuration options are understood and will be fully tested and commissioned.
- To provide support to the customer when needed with remote or off-site technical support and installation work / trials as and when required.
- To organise and lead offsite system trials when required.
- To Support the Product Support team with customer issues during and post-delivery.
- To ensure all systems are commissioned and tested in accordance with Saab Seaeye quality Standards and build procedures.
- To regularly communicate with management, projects and production teams on system commissioning status.
- To work closely with the quality department to identify and reduce process failures, build failures and warranty returns.
- To work with engineering and production engineering to improve product design and reduce failures.
- To achieve agreed targets and goals set by the management team.
- To monitor evaluate and improve the test, installation, commissioning and trials processes and procedures.

- To carry out any other duties as detailed by a member of the management team or authorized representative.
- To keep good time management to minimise any wasted time and maximise productivity and effectiveness.
Health & Safety responsibilities:
- To ensure that the working area is a clean and safe environment in compliance with the 5S best practice and health and safety policies.
- To ensure any equipment used is safe, within electrical test date and all guards and interlocks are working and in place.
- To act safely and responsibly in line with company processes and Health and Safety procedures to ensure your safety and the safety of others.
- To report any potential Health and safety hazards or violations to your supervisor/ line manager or directly to the QHSE manager.
- To ensure any PPE or work wear required or provided for the job is worn and checked regularly for wear, and then reported when replacements required.
Experience Required:
- ROV mobilisations & trials
- IRM, Drill Support and Construction operations
- Minimum ROV Supervisor level
- Seaeye inspection ROV systems
- Network based work class ROV systems
- System fault finding and maintenance
- Coordination of trials and operational activities
- Good project and client management
- Offshore certified (BOSIET and GWO)
