Job Description
PURPOSE
As an Engineering Planner / Administrator you will be responsible for planning and coordinating various maintenance activities with internal and external resource. The planner will liaise with service providers, schedule and raising purchase requisition for service visits, maintaining company and statutory obligations.
The planner will focus on providing a high standard of service to ensure maximum Plant and Site Services utilisation, together with Engineering Administration support.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Scheduling & monitoring of planned maintenance of all equipment on site.
- Schedule and monitor – Activities of Site Services providers.
- Schedule and monitor – Statutory Inspection.
- Control, development and maintain the CMMS, including setting up budgets, inputting of cost centres and codes, producing reports for committed spend against budget.
- Produce Engineering month end reports on utility usage.
- Participate in weekly Planned maintenance review.
- Arrange Site attendance of Service Contractors.
- Provide help desk facility for Mechanical, Electrical and Site Services problems.
- Raise work requests for appropriate Engineering Trades or Service providers.
- Raise purchase requisitions for Service Contracts.
- Scheduling and monitoring of cleaning contractors, including liaising with site supervisor to ensure all areas are kept up to specification.
- Maintain Plant and Equipment Asset Register.
- Enter data from Engineers weekly “Hours Analysis” cards.
- Provide weekly and monthly reports.
- Maintain and update Planned Maintenance Procedures.
- Maintain central Engineering filing system.
- Maintain Services Contractors database.
- Schedule and monitor the ISO9000/2000 Calibration of Weigh Scales, Balances, Dispensing Meters and
Measuring equipment.
- Support the business in various internal and external audits.
- Provide General Administration support.
- Carry out any reasonable task as requested by the Engineering / Site Services Manager
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- GCSE or equivalent
- Administration qualifications
- Engineering/manufacturing background would be advantageous

- Strong organisational skills
- Good computer skills, Microsoft office, excel, power point etc.
- Ability to work with others in a team setting.
