Job Introduction

This role will work across Saga Travel Group brands and products, currently touring (Titan & Saga), Tailor-Made and Hosted Hotels, to create content for product marketing, customer engagement and brand affinity. This is a multi-brand, multi- product role to effectively position engaging content to fans and acquire new followers. You’ll be responsible for leading, owning and managing all outputs across Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube for the travel group.

Your love for creating engaging content, whilst utilising brand tone of voice means you’re a whizz with all platforms and how to get the best out of them. You’ll be responsible for the implementation of all social activity and content, from ideating and creating posts to scheduling content and community managing responses. You have a love for reporting too, able to produce, analyse and articulate campaign insight to determine the performance of our content and our performance against competitors.

A brand champion with a terrific eye for engaging content. You’re a storyteller – creative and technical. You’ll be responsible for planning activity and collaborating with key stakeholders to achieve objectives, as well as with creative teams to support output. Working with paid media specialists to share engagement trends and align paid and organic plans. You’ll measure activity to achieve engagement and reach targets as well as amplify the brands to achieve brand fame (Titan) and support Saga’s position as a superbrand. This role will work closely across our marketing teams to drive expertise and excitement through our comms.

Main Responsibilities
  • Brand storytelling: champion both brands proposition and goal for fame/superbrand status.
  • Align outputs to key pillars under Experience is Everything banner and amplify brand proposition.
  • Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic, and driven approach to achieving business goals.
  • Liaise with colleagues across product and marketing to ensure their needs are met and integrate campaign work across channels.
  • Lead Influencer activity, sourcing, negotiating, contracting, and managing their outputs on behalf of our brands.
  • Reporting and analytics: weekly performance reports and monthly progression reports to the business and implement learnings.
  • Work collaboratively with group and other business units to communicate plans and share channel access/posting schedule.
  • Liaise with paid media specialist, sharing best practice and engagement trends and aligning organic and paid plans.
  • Liaise with customer services for issues management on social.
  • Content champion: creation and ideation of all social media posts (feed, stories, reels etc / image, video, copy across FaceBook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube.
  • Own the content calendar and post schedule.
  • Write copy posts, edit videos for native content.
  • Community management: respond to customer comments on daily content and source UGC from customers and tour managers.
  • Construct stories to bring subject to life whilst showcasing our content pillars.
  • Planning: manage the schedule and prioritise, communicate plans and provide calendar visibility.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Extensive social media management experience across all platforms with proven results - within the Travel industry would be advantageous.
  • Impeccable copywriting skills, excellent flair and attention to detail, socially native and able to tailor to channel
  • Knowledge of social media tools such as Sprinklr
  • Hands on experience with software editing tools
  • Able to think strategically and align content with business goals and audience appeal.
  • Project and workflow management: creation of timing plans for developing content, management of content calendars
  • Eye for design and visual styling, especially for successful creation of stories/reels
  • Analytical mind that can turn performance into meaningful insights
  • Experience managing influencer marketing
  • Strong networking skills: management of stakeholder relationships, you’ll work in a cross functional team with shared channel access
  • Highly organised to delivery work across multiple initiatives simultaneously, with a structured approach to decision making.
  • Highly creative with experience identifying target audiences and devising campaigns that engage, inform and motivate
  • Tech savvy, stay ahead, generous with knowledge/expertise to create collaborative working
  • Adaptable, able to pivot at pace
  • Entrepreneurial, journalistic, inquisitive self-starter.
