Opportunity:
As our head of communications you will develop and execute a comprehensive communications strategy. Working closely with the leadership team you will collaborate with key stakeholders to enhance our brand image and drive awareness of our business strategy, culture and values. You will bring a strong vision for taking our communications function forward, ensuring new and emerging channels are part of the communications mix. You will oversee a strategy which will be insight-led, builds pride in our brand and brings our purpose and values to life. You will directly manage a team of four and provide professional functional expertise to our wider coms teams across the business. You will manage both internal and external coms liaising with our external engagement manager for PR opportunities.
To be successful in this role you will:
- be a values led People leader with demonstrable experience of leading and developing both internal and external communications teams
- Possess an in depth understanding of communications trends, digital experience and best practice
- have strong influencing skills, effective stakeholder management skills and ability to manage external agencies
- Demonstrate Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Be insight-led in developing a strategy to ensure that plans reflect the requirements of the audience
- Familiarity with digital marketing, social media platforms, and content creation will be a significant advantage.
