Full Time Manchester, England 22000 - 25000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Social Media Content Creator

NERF Action Xperience - Manchester/Trafford - £22,000 - 25,000 pa + Bonus + Benefits

We are NERF Action Xperience (NERF AX) - Manchester, an indoor arena dedicated to all things NERF, where children, families and adults alike visit to experience a non-stop, action-packed, heart-pounding, fun-fuelled life! We are also home to the world's first truly NERF dedicated retail store, with hundreds of lines available in-store from the famous toy brand.

We are on the hunt for someone to help us create a social media estate that blasts all other attractions out of the water! Creating an online community of followers that love everything we do at NERF AX, promoting our venue and sharing their moments of a fun-fuelled experience!

We are looking for an enthusiastic, talented and social media talisman, one who can lead our online story by producing compelling multi-media content across our social channels and driving the fabric of our social media proposition. Working with the senior marketing and operations team, you will advise on and deploy social media content activity that supports the vision of NERF AX to be the leading and pioneering family entertainment centre.

You will be driven by creativity and thinking outside of the box, not afraid to have an idea and run with it, no matter how crazy it may be. You need to demonstrate a background in social media, both in knowledge and understanding of the various channels (notably Meta, Tik Tok and Snapchat), how to manage them on a day-to-day basis but also in producing inspiring, effective and innovative content that is bang on trend. We expect you to have used a video camera, smartphone and some form of gimbal - as well as a go-pro - to shoot and then edit videos to represent brands, organisations or causes.

Your role-

  • Work as part of our Marketing team, liaising with the wider Operations Team, to identify, produce and schedule content through NERF AX social channels that are on-brand and foster our ethos and essence.
  • Devise, capture and create high-quality content adopting a multimedia approach that best suits the social media ecosystem that is relevant to our brand.
  • Be on-the-pulse when it comes to the latest trends and conversations across social media platforms; that are part of our portfolio or that may prove to be advantageous to our brand.
  • Work with our agencies and contact centre to engage and reply to our communities and customers who are using our social media estate.
  • Ensure appropriate tone of voice and brand vernacular across all our social channels
  • Coordinate content shoots within the venue for all products associated with the experience, and retail liaising with appropriate in-house teams and third party agencies.
  • Foster relationships with content creators, influencers and seek out collaborative opportunities for the brand with partner organisations such as Archie’s and Trafford Palazzo
  • Seek out new opportunities to raise our awareness and reach through engagement with brand related online groups and forums
  • Undertake social listening across all platforms; competitor analysis and review NERF AX performance in line with this and act, where necessary, to stay ahead.
  • Perform to an agreed set of KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) across areas of social media content performance to drive brand awareness, engagement and attraction visits.

What do we need from you?

Essential

  • At least 2 years’ experience in producing content and managing social media channels - including video and photography capture and editing
  • Have a passion for story-telling and a track-record of developing engaging social-first content, being able to provide us with those examples.
  • You’ll have a creative-eye for content, being able to craft engaging and effective social content and campaigns
  • Have experience us using software tools to help undertake the role to its full extent; advising on new packages and trending platforms that will help you in your role (such as Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics)
  • Be confident in capturing and driving appropriate content - working with customers and staff to get the right executions needed
  • Be agile and have the ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, creative and entrepreneurial environment
  • The ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
  • Enthusiastic and proactive – you must be able to think on your feet

Desirable

  • Experience within the Leisure / Hospitality / Retail industry
  • Background or experience in journalism
  • Experience within a marketing setting

Location: NERF AX, Trafford Palazzo, Trafford City, Manchester M17 8AS

Maybe occasional travel to outreach events and to Rocafella Leisure HQ in Worsley, Manchester.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week, Mon-Sun weekends, late evenings and potential events. This will be agreed on a weekly rota with your line manager.

Flexibility is vital for this role

The Package

  • A basic salary of between £22,000 - £25,000 (Depending on Experience)
  • A genuine and highly achievable bonus system
  • Employee Discounts
