Social Media Executive Required
We are looking for a Social Media Assistant to join our busy team working across a variety of clients.
Social Soda is a Carlisle based social media consultancy specialising in planning and delivering effective campaigns for a portfolio of businesses and brands.
Role: Social Media Assistant
Reports To: Managing Director
Employment Type: Part Time although Full Time roles will be considered
Location: 34 Spencer Street, Carlisle, CA1 1BA
Salary: Dependent on experience and ability to meet all requirements.
Note: This position will involve flexible working hours as you will be required to work on specific evenings and weekends.
Responsibilities:
- Working alongside our Director to ensure all social media campaigns are seamlessly executed.
- Day to day running of all client social media platforms.
- Creating organic and paid content on multiple social media channels
- Creation and editing of video-based content to drive awareness and reach.
- Developing reactive social media content.
- Planning, scheduling and monitoring social media content.
- Community management: Facilitating online conversations with customers, responding to queries, developing user generated content.
- Proposing new ideas and concepts for social media content.
- Assisting with events and live coverage.
- Ongoing research to stay informed with latest social media trends and innovations.
- Creating editorial calendars.
- Creating weekly and monthly client reports including evaluation, proposals and presentations.
- Liaising with external partners who do various marketing related jobs.
- Client related and internal administration.
- Monitoring competitor activity.
Ideal Skills & Experience
- Experience of running social media channels and scheduling content.
- Experience of community management including engaging with followers, responding to comments and direct messages.
- Experience of content creation – knowledge of Photoshop and design programmes eg Canva will be advantageous.
- A passion for social media and the digital landscape.
- Efficient and well organised with excellent time management skills and attention to detail.
- A good multitasker and able to work effectively under pressure and to deadlines.
- Competence in Excel, Word and Powerpoint.
