Working Hours: Full time, fixed term contract, expected initial duration is one year. Weekend and evening working required during festival season.
Role Description
Festival Republic is the country’s leading festival and events promoter. We are seeking an experienced, creative, and self-motivated individual with a social media background and an enthusiasm for festivals, who would like to work within a busy events company.
The candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the Wilderness branded social media channels, producing engaging content for all digital platforms, and regularly analysing digital trends and performance. Reporting into the Marketing & Campaign (M&C) Manager, the candidate will work collaboratively with teams including PR, Sponsorship, Production, and more to create and publish content that reflects the festival brand whilst growing engagement and communicating key event information.
The candidate should be engrossed in youth and digital culture, be able to work as part of a team, constantly provide innovative content ideas and present them to stakeholders.
They will be required to work on site at a number of events over the summer which all span weekends.

Competencies / Skills / Knowledge / Experience
Essential
- A passion for social media and extensive knowledge of all channels including TikTok
- Excellent knowledge of the festival’s culture, relevant talent & influencers
- Strong interpersonal communication including the ability to relate to different audiences
- Intermediate or above experience of graphic design using Adobe Creative Suites
- Intermediate or above experience of Microsoft Office (or similar)
- Strong organisational skills
- Ability to manage a number of projects at one time and to work to tight deadlines
Desired
- Experience working with brands and/or events
- Knowledge in UK festival markets and events
- Working experience within a similar industry
- Some video editing experience

What the role includes
Social media
- Pitch, develop and create social content in line with the festival brand with the aim to grow our audience and ultimately sell tickets
- Build and maintain a social media strategy for the festival, planning launches and big moments in advance and regularly posting on-trend content
- Be ferociously aware of new trends on social media & within the music industry
- Monitor conversation on all social media platforms and respond to customer queries as needed
- Identify new social media platforms and develop audiences there
- Work onsite at the festival to manage and produce a constant stream of social content, managing a team who will assist in collecting content
- Regularly report on analytics and trends
- Regularly attend shows in order to share live content on the festival channels
Content
- Collaborate with the M&C Manager to hire and manage a team of videographers and photographers to work on site at the festivals
- Design digital marketing assets using Adobe Creative Suite
- Brief in marketing assets including video to internal and external creatives
- Create simple graphic or video assets (using the festival brand assets) for use on social campaigns
- Liaise with artist management, content creators and labels for exclusive content
- Occasionally work on site at venues, shows or press days to shoot video content
In addition
- Establish and nurture relationships with brands, stakeholders and partners
- Assist the M&C Manager in developing and implementing an effective Influencer marketing strategy
- Assist the M&C Manager in other admin duties across digital platforms such as the website, the official app and forward planning.
- Raising purchase orders and processing invoices will be required .
