Position Overview:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Social Communities Manager to join our Digital Marketing team here at our Head Office in South Shields. This role will be key to the coordination of our day-to-day social media community and operations across Barbour and Barbour International channels. Sitting within the Global Brand and Communications team, you’ll have responsibility for our day-to-day output across social media, specifically across our global channels.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Take charge of day-to-day content scheduling, content optimisation and social media communication cadence.
- Support Global Social Media Manager on content planning
- Monitor and moderate all consumer comments and engagement across the full range of Barbour Social media channels to maintain an engaged audience and drive content reach.
- Set up UTM tagging for social content to monitor campaign and content performance, driving traffic back to brand content on .com wherever possible
- Create content where needed, with a focus on Instagram Stories creative, and behind the scenes video content.
- Curate appropriate UGC using native and third party platform tools
- Partner with Comms team members to ideate enticing, brand rich content which drives brand awareness whilst also maximising on commercial opportunities
- Share appropriate feedback from social followers with relevant teams across the business in regular reports.
- Identify social trends, put forward ideas for action on key learnings and share with the team potential opportunities.
- Work alongside the customer care team to ensure all customer feedback is responded to.
- Adhere to the brand social media guidelines, brand tone of voice and policies
- Work with global teams (US, DE, APAC) to post local content that is relevant to our global consumers.
- Alert Appropriate teams within Barbour as issues arise on any social channel.
- Look after the [email protected] inbox. Directing enquiries to the correct team members
- Undertake any other reasonable activities as directed by the Global Social Media Manager
Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years experience in brand or ecommerce social media management
- Degree level qualification ideally in Marketing or Communications
- Excellent copywriting skills, with a focus on copywriting for social media
- Social scheduling/listening tool user
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to analyse data and conclude for reports.
- Initiative based in solving problems
- High attention to detail in copy and visuals
- Confident working with internal and external stakeholders.
- Be prepared to out-side working hours on ad-hoc occasions (press events, brand campaign shoots)
Desirable:
- Experience or exposure to fashion / clothing brands
- Active influencer or blogging experience
- TikTok channel management
- Knowledge of using UGC curation tool (Curalate, Storystream or equivalent)
- Experience in Meta Commerce Manager
