Role Purpose
Vodafone Business Ventures is the social enterprise arm of Vodafone Business. We combine Vodafone’s platforms and partnerships in cloud, connectivity and IOT to bring innovative, verticalized solutions to customers in Vodafone’s global footprint.
We are looking for a Senior Proposition development and GTM Manager who will develop and commercialise Ventures’ propositions in Education and Healthcare portfolio in Vodafone footprint markets in Europe and Africa. The Senior Manager will lead the engagement across the Vodafone Business Group and Operating markets to capture business insights about local opportunities to inform proposition development, coordinate support to drive demand for proposition and develop an overall Go to market strategy and execution plan.
Key accountabilities and decision ownership
- Proposition development: Gather customer insights, research and build propositions which utilise connectivity, cloud services and IOT capabilities for the Education and Health care vertical
- GTM strategy development: Define the GTM strategy that will drive an ambitious growth plan and revenue. Create and promote core content, best practice toolkits and guidance centrally that can be customised locally for Operating markets in Europe and Africa.
- Adoption of GTM strategy in OpCos: Achieve sales and growth targets, deliver on product roadmap and commitments from portfolio strategy to product/feature development, to launch and channel activation. Build a high performing Ventures community across Vodafone sharing best practice on GTM approach.
Core competencies, knowledge and experience
- Proposition development and Go To Market professional with proven 10-15 years of experience in either Telecom, Technology, consulting or hi-growth start-ups
- Analytical skills; ability to extract and use relevant data as foundation of robust fact based strategy & planning
- Ability to create sales enablement plans with clear milestones and performance tracking
- Excellent presentation and storytelling capabilities to diverse audiences focused making complex simple
- Proactive and resilient, takes personal responsibility, able to lead in high-uncertainty environments and work under strong time pressure
- Superior influencing skills to effectively influence and persuade audiences at all levels (including executive level)
- Dynamic, team player with experience of working in a matrix organisation
Must have technical/professional qualifications
- Demonstrable experience in managing cross functional teams in proposition development and go to market across multiple markets
- Customer obsessed attitude and ability to nurture and manage deep customer relationships
- Excellent communication, stakeholder, influencing and relationship skills, working in a multi-cultural environment
- Degree in Business, Marketing or MBA equivalent
