WHAT TO EXPECT
We are looking for a Plumber to join the team in Halewood.
The role requires to work as part of the maintenance operations team at Site Services Central Shop which carry out preventative and corrective maintenance works daily to support the production facilities on site.
As a Plumber, your role will involve providing callout support as requested and the installation new services on domestic hot & cold-water systems, drainage and foul waste. You’ll ensure a safe and efficient production performance is delivered within the Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, People & the Environment framework.
WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
- Routine preventative and corrective maintenance plans to be followed.
- First response to breakdowns with the aim to deliver minimal down time.
- Installation of new services for canteens, kitchen and welfare facilities.
- Contribute to all equipment and material stock checks and orders.
- Contact with operational teams across site as a support function.
- Contribute to environmental initiatives to maintain / improve standards as required.
- Contribute to the delivery of Health and Safety initiatives to maintain / improve standards as required.
- Support as required to ensure that the facilities are maintained and available at all times, breakdown response time critical.
- Liaise with production teams for planned or corrective maintenance activities that directly affect areas. Respond to production related concerns.
- Support the site services team with plant improvements, reactive maintenance and in house repairs.
- Contribution required to support the site project teams responsibilities include design, planning, procurement and delivery of strip out works, alterations and new installations.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
Essential:
- Indentured / advanced modern apprenticeship or Level 3 qualification in Plumbing and Domestic Heating Systems.
- Legionella awareness training completed.
- Complete understanding of water regulations 1999.
- Actively working within the plumbing & pipe fitting trade.
- Commercial plumbing experience, installation or maintenance.
