Due to continuing growth, we are looking for a Site Supervisor to join the team.
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for effectively and efficiently installing products prepared by the company on customers sites or premises ensuring that the finished job is to the customers expectation.
Duties will include:
- Supervise and direct Site Fitters in installing products and materials as specified in the Job File in an accurate and efficient manner.
- Check materials/products before leaving factory or when delivered to site before commencing installation and report any non conformance in materials/products supplied to Contracts Manager.
- Follow site supervisor procedures as set out by Topglass Management
- Liaise with Contracts Manager in respect to any problems or difficulties with the products/materials supplied.
- Liaise with customers site personnel in respect to any general problems or difficulties when working on customer’s site.
- Complete all company documentation in an accurate, legible and timely manner.
- Be aware of Health & Safety issues and conform to all customer regulations when on their site.
- Ensure work undertaken is within the schedule specified in the Job File and report any additional requests for work to Contracts Manager for authority to commence.
- Work in a practical manner to assist the effectiveness of contract/job completion as necessary.
- Ensure that company van and your personal tool box are fully kitted out and that van and all tools are maintained in a state fit for purpose.
- Monitor company policies during contract/job completion and ensure they are followed.
- Ensure products and materials are used effectively and any surplus to requirements are returned/singed to stores on completion of contract/job.
- Ensure company property and documentation is maintained in a secure and neat manner demonstrating professionalism in its use.
The successful candidate will have experience in supervising and organising work. They should be able to read, communicate and explain the details of construction/architectural drawings and should be able to work at heights. Experience in architectural glass site work would be an advantage. Travel and working away from home for periods will be necessary.
