Job description
We are looking for a skilled site joiner(s) ( 1st & 2nd fixes) to join our team.
Kerr Capital Developments Ltd has numerous construction site in the North West of England.
The company is looking to employ a joiner(s) to carry out all aspects of joinery works - first fix, second fix and final fix.
As a site joiner you will be responsible for aspects of joinery works, facilitating the construction of a quality product whilst ensuring that the high standards of Health & Safety are adhered to at all times.
The ideal candidate has at least 5 years experience working in a construction site environment and is comfortable operating a variety of equipment. A successful candidate will take direction well, be able to troubleshoot problems on his or her own and work with minimal supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Setting out and Installing Stud Walls , Roof Trusses etc..
- General site work using hand tools
- Various first fix joinery installs and adaptions
- Snagging works following completion of plots
- Maintaining site infrastructure
- Assisting other trades to complete their work around site
- Work consists of mainly new builds sites working on:
- Roofs (trusses and traditional pitched)
- Low level roofs (traditional and trusses)
- Joists & floorboards
- Fitting stairs
- Fitting doors & Casings
- First fix joinery
- Second fix joinery
- Kitchen installs
- From day one you will be hands on learning new skills.
- Willing to travel between sites
Hours of work are as follows
- Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:00
- Friday 07:30 – 15:00
Rates of pay for the joiner position are dependent on experience.
On-going training is available based on performance & experience.
