SKILLS FOR SUCCESS:
Serve as the competent safety person on-site
Complete Field Service Requests and submit associated documentation
Participate in regular meetings/provide feedback/contribute to Root Cause Corrective Actions
Assist with installs, inspections, and site surveys
Operate smart devices and upload data into system
Operate/maintain electrical service vehicles and equipment
Complete work with high level professional quality
Minimum Qualifications:
3-5 years of applicable electrical construction and solar experience
Strong understanding of NEC codes and standards, especially residential PV installations
- Include registration with all cities and counties where jobs will be installed.
- License will be used for each county/City registration process.
- Assistance with pulling Permits.
- Installing solar panel arrays in residential and commercial settings, including on roofs, walls, and ground mounts
- Connecting electrical components such as inverters, batteries, and charge controllers to ensure that they operate properly
- Installing wiring and other electrical components in new construction projects, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and residential homes
- Meeting with clients to discuss project goals and requirements
- Schedule Inspections with city halls
- Reply promptly to emails and send when necessary with inspectors
- Address corrections with plan checker and inspectors
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
- Minimum 1 year of experience solar Site or inspection, scheduling.
- Coordinate permit runners to pull permits
- Provide technical solutions to corrections
- Basic understanding of common construction practices & ability to utilize construction tools.
- Able to safely and efficiently to operate a drone (experience is preferred but we will train the right candidate for the part 107 drone certification)Ability to organize, prioritize and complete tasks in an efficient manner.
- Able to lift equipment and carry out physical activity with or without reasonable accommodation (up to 50lbs)
- Basic computer knowledge, flexibility to learn and use technology-based programs
Product Knowledge – Knowledge about solar brand and equipment.
Able to work 30-40 hours/week and overtime, as needed.
Valid driver’s license - Clean driving record and comfortable driving long distances (including Los Angeles/San Fernando Valley areas)
Experience with business communications and reporting.
Comfortable operating in outdoor environments
Employee must be comfortable wearing a mask when entering homes and businesses
