Job description
The Role
As a Site Manager within our ABP team, you’ll report into a Contracts Manager, with the opportunity to engage and provide ideas during the development of detailed designs to make our projects easier, safer, more cost effective and more sustainable to build.
Primarily, you’ll be responsible for managing day to day site operations to ensure that construction work is delivered safely, within budget, on schedule and in accordance with the appropriate standards, specifications and regulatory requirements.

- Have Site Management experience in the delivery of civils and industrial building projects
- Experience of working in a collaborative design and build environment
- A thorough understanding of safety, environmental and quality management processes
- And a thorough understanding of commercial, contractual and procurement processes
- Familiarity of working with NEC Form of Contract
- The following training accreditations are essential: list them here (i.e. SMSTS, CSCS,).
- Good knowledge of temporary works
- Working location – the role will initially be based around one of ABP’s four Humber ports, located in Immingham, Goole, Grimsby and Hull.
- Work / Life Balance – typical working hours are Monday to Friday from 07:30-17:00; we would only work weekends by exception. Whilst the role is site-based, we’re set up to permit agile working.
