We are looking for an enthusiastic Call Handler to join our Single Point of Access team, within Community Services. The Single Point of Access (SPA) receives incoming referrals from Patients/GPs/ Hospitals/Community In-Patient Units and other health service professionals across York, Selby and North Ryedale.
The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for service users and should be able to demonstrate an effective level of communication. You will need to be a good team player as you will work as part of a small team ensuring the handling and processing of all calls and electronic referrals via SystmOne, is undertaken in a friendly and efficient way.
The post holder will be part of a rota system. The service operates 7 days a week from 7.30am - 8pm,shift patterns are:
- (Early) 8am - 4pm (one shift will work 7.30am-3.30pm)
- (Mid) 10am - 6pm
- (Late) 12noon - 8pm
At the weekend there are two shift patterns (weekend and bank holiday enhancements are paid for all hours worked):
- (Early) - 7.30am - 3.30pm
- (Late) - 12noon - 8pm
Location: whilst the SPA team are currently based at Monkgate Health Centre, there is a proposal to move to the LNER Community Stadium at Monks Cross, candidates should therefore be aware that they will re-locate to another base and must be able to travel accordingly.
