SIA Security Officer - SEC, Glasgow

Full time, Permanent

£10.90 per hour

We are looking to recruit additional SIA Security Officers to join our existing Scottish Event Campus Security Team.

Key Information:

This is a great opportunity for those looking for a permanent, full-time position at a great location. You will work a minimum of 48 hours per week, on a rota of 4 days on and 4 days off covering both day and night shifts, with the opportunity to pick up overtime if so desired.

You need to be aged at least 18 years old and hold a valid frontline SIA Licence. You’ll receive full on-the-job training and have ongoing support from a great delivery team that will work closely with you. You’ll even enjoy opportunities for career development if you’re interested in progression.

Duties include:

• Access control and use of search scanners/wands
• Daily Log and Incident report writing
• Deal with contractors, client staff and visitors
• Dealing with the day-to-day security of the site and reporting to the control room
• Unlock and open access to the building in a timely manner, each morning and as and when instructed
• Ensure the site is clear of visitors and locked down once all events have finished
• Carrying out public safety and security checks for all areas in use
• Manning the Gatehouse, being the main entry point for vehicles to site, identifying and recording all vehicles visiting site
• Attending Fire Alarm activations within the site, and responding and reporting accordingly
• Providing excellent customer service at all times, as an ambassador of both the company and the client
• Traffic duties external to the building as and when required.

Requirements:

• A valid Door Supervisor or Security Guarding SIA Licence (CCTV is also desirable, but not essential)
• Client awareness and customer focused
• A good approach to teamwork and conflict resolution
• A professional and flexible attitude and presence
• Excellent high level of interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
