This role would report to the Senior HRBP based in Oxford and part of the global Research and Early Development HR Team, with members in China, Denmark, and the USA. You will grow your HR and business understanding as you partner with key stakeholders on various team/business needs, paces, and configurations. Also, provide coaching to business leaders and work to improve the effectiveness of leadership teams.
The Position
We are looking for an HR Business Partner who will thrive in a role that mixes highly hands-on tasks with supporting the rapid growth of an exciting Research site with strategic projects.
This role is accountable for driving Generalist duties within the organization and aiding the senior HRBP. You will be dedicated to a business area where you will identify and deliver on the HR agenda which supports the required strategic and operational business deliverables. Your key responsibilities will be to advise, support and collaborate with stakeholders within and outside the area on varying HR-related matters.
You will build capability in people managers in the client groups to facilitate an open, inclusive, Novo Nordisk Way values-based environment that enables effective employee experience and ensures the HRBP role is perceived as an objective employee resource and escalation path. Instilling trust and confidence by maintaining objectivity and clearly communicating the rationale behind recommendations.
Your primary tasks will include:
- Take ownership of driving performance and case management delivery, focussing on creating a great employee and candidate experience, and owning the implementation locally of the HR Annual Wheel, ensuring it is embedded locally at all levels of the organization, whilst also collaborating with local teams to implement large hiring and onboarding program
- Partnering with assigned business leaders to drive the people and organization agendas in alignment with your work, initiatives, programs, and projects to business drivers and strategy by using systems models, diagnostics, and data to evaluate organizational problems and provide solutions for your assigned client group(s).
- Implement and co-design the UK Diversity and Inclusion plans, focusing on building a strong cohesive culture focused on collaboration and inclusivity.
- Provide global support to cross Research and Development communications, working with R&ED HRLT members to produce clear updates for internal and external purposes
- Influencing cultural evolution through a partnership with the COE (Centre of Excellence), providing context to rewards systems, direct employee engagement, leadership development, talent management and working to create an inclusive environment, leading projects cutting across multiple HR sub-functions and business units.
The position is hybrid, and we expect you to be on-site at the NNRCO 3 days a week.
Qualifications
You carry a strong delivery focussed mindset and are able to operate at both the operational and partnering level, building strong relationships locally and globally to bring excellence in delivery to the UK Research and Early Development function.
- Experience working in a large matrixed international organization
- Exceptional written and verbal English and good communication and presentation skills and structure in your problem-solving and critical-thinking approach
- Knowledge of UK Employment Law and experience working with employees and managers on employee relations matters
- Strong service mindset and can-do attitude, as well as strong attention to detail
- Experience working with employees and managers on employee relations matters,
- A passion for D&I, desire to create an inclusive workplace
- Established HR experience is required, as well as strong HR Partnering/Advisory expertise
