BAPP are looking for Playworkers and specialised Short Breaks Workers to help us plan and deliver high-quality, inclusive play services across our play services. If you are passionate about supporting the wellbeing of disabled children and delivering exceptional play experiences, regardless of ability, these could be the roles for you.

You will be enthusiastic, flexible and ideally have experience working with school aged children and young people in an inclusive setting. Having a caring and child-centred attitude, you will help create a positive environment that provides children and young people with opportunities to experience a wide range of play opportunities, explore activities and experiment, develop friendships and have fun.
The Short Breaks team helps children and young people with disabilities and complex needs to engage in active and age appropriate play opportunities which promote their independence, social skills and well-being.
Hours: Successful candidates can choose from Saturday Club sessions, Holiday Club Sessions, or both.
Holiday Club offers 7 hours per session. Sessions run weekdays during most school holidays 08/8.30am to 3.30pm (10 weeks p.a.). Staff can be contracted for every holiday or flexi.
Saturday Club offers 4 hours work per session. Sessions run every Saturday 9.30am to 12.30pm or 11am-3pm during term time (36 weeks p.a.). Staff can choose to be contracted from between 1 to 4 Saturdays per month during term time.

COVID-19 considerations:
Staff are requested to Lateral Flow Test twice weekly, maintain good hygiene standards whilst at work and support children to do the same.
Education:
- A-Level or equivalent (preferred)
Experience:
- working with Children/Young People inc SEND: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (preferred)
