We are on the lookout for both full-time and part-time Bagel Shop Assistants, Bagel Rollers and Bakers to join our dynamic team. Each day, our talented team bakes proper New York bagels on-site, complemented by freshly prepared schmears (fillings) in our kitchens. We are looking for someone who takes great pride and delight in consistent customer service and who is comfortable in scaling as we grow. This is a new position and an exciting opportunity for someone looking to make this position their own in a growing business. As a Bagel Shop Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Maintaining impeccable hygiene standards
- Serving our amazing bagels to the residents of Primrose Hill and beyond
- Preparing various food items such as bagel sandwiches, coffees and salads.
- Customer service
- Processing till transactions for eat in and takeout orders
- Packing food deliveries.
- Maintain cleanliness of your work area including utensils and equipment
- Ensure all products are made to the set quality standards and in line with daily orders daily.
Basic Qualifications:
- Ability to learn to take orders and operate under pressure in a café environment
- Arrive consistently on time, in clean attire (t-shirts provided by It’s Bagels)
-Must have AT LEAST ONE YEAR experience using Lightspeed tills, Must have basic kitchen skills. Very strong cleaning and organizational skills minimum 1 year experience in restaurant / cafe.
-Very strong cleaning and organizational skills following govt health guidelines.
-Must work clean as will be customer facing.
- Customer oriented, excellent verbal communication
- Must read, write and speak English
- Right to work in the UK
Shop Assistant Schedule:
Working hours ran on shifts basis, typically 6-3pm
Job Types: Part-time, Full-time
Part-time hours: 16-40 per week
Salary: £12.00-£13.00 per hour
