Operating within Cranhill Development Trust, The Cabin Shop is a retailer of fresh food, a PayPoint outlet and a Local Post Office rolled into one. We provide vital products and services such as essential groceries and daily banking to the local community.

You will work as part of a small dynamic team where you will be expected to support, train and inspire your colleagues and volunteers to provide a high quality of customer service.

Your role is to ensure the smooth daily running of the shop and drive the growth of this community owned business. You will have an important role in helping achieve our sales targets and ensure our shop is a successful long-term business.

You will have experience in a retail environment and be able to demonstrate successful business growth within a retail setting. You will be committed to promoting the shop, while bringing new and exciting ideas to this developing community business.

  • Creation of performance reports for the Board of Trustees.
  • Ensure full regulatory compliance and keep abreast of regulatory changes particularly health and safety.
  • Ensure the shop is a welcoming and friendly environment for customers, staff and volunteers.
  • Signpost and refer customers to other CDT services.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties that may be required.

This job description is intended to indicate the broad range of responsibilities and requirements of the post. It is neither exhaustive nor exclusive but, while some variation can be expected duties, the outline is considered to provide a reasonable general description of the post.
