Job description
Job Title: Packing Operator
Location: Andover
Working hours: 3 shifts’ pattern worked Monday – Thursday 8 hours and Friday 5.5 hours
3 weekly rotation (week 1 06:00 – 14:00; week 2 14:00-22:00; week 3 22:00-06:00)
Role Purpose:
To operate all packing lines and ancillary plant and meet agreed output requirements on time, in full and right condition;
To ensure product integrity in all production and warehouse areas;
What you’ll be doing:Deliver customer requirements by:
Ensure that output meets agreed targets
Ensure that production meets specification at all times
Ensure that Cleaning and Operational maintenance is carried out to agreed schedules
Assist with Fault diagnosis and recording of equipment performance issues
Ensure the compliance with all company, product, process and legislative standards
including H & S and Environmental
Ensure that the productions plans are understood and achieved
Ensure that the packing areas, people and contractors all operate to local hygiene
standards at all times.
Ensure that training is undertaken as an outcome of any performance reviews
Assist in any site role, as required
Operate a 'Clean as you go' Policy
Quality
Ensure the integrity, performance and presentation of all production through:

Setting up and operation of equipment to deliver all products to Premier foods standards
Recording of all Quality testing and exceptional equipment issues
Check and Maintain Hygiene standards
Continually seek to improve process performance
Monitor packing operator quality checks
Ensure correct Change over procedures are followed
Carry out calibrations and product sampling
Communication
Deliver effective communication to all relevant interfaces ensuring full awareness of team activity with colleagues
Handovers as required by the role
Teamwork
Work to the highest standards both personally and as part of the team by:
Working in line with current Company Systems, Standards and legislation.
Participate fully in all aspects of training and personal development.
Working within site and business rules and guidelines.
Contribute to site improvement initiatives.

Experience of working in the food industry
Food Safety Level 2
