WS Transportation are currently seeking a Shift Manager to join our WS Home Delivery Team. In this role, you will be responsible for organising the safe and efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of warehouse items of all our Home Delivery products.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Acting as the first point of contact for staff including drivers and warehouse operatives
• Collecting and checking timesheets and dealing with payroll administration
• Managing all inbound and outbound activities including Receiving, checking, and marshalling inbound deliveries.
• Recruiting, interviewing, and training new team members
• Managing their team’s performance
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and industry guidelines
• Maintaining a safe working environment for all staff members
• Using the backgrounds and talents of the Crew Supervisors to enhance their abilities and groom them for future management roles.

Shift Manager skills and qualifications

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership and management skills.
• Problem-solving abilities.
• Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise their workload effectively.
• Diplomatic nature and ability to resolve issues efficiently and professionally.
• Home Delivery experience is an advantage especially in the sofa industry.
• Gsit TMS and Clarus WMS is a clear advantage.
• Must have both Warehouse and Transport experience.

Hours & Salary:

• Salary DOE
• 2pm-10pm
• 5 days a week

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
