About the opportunity
We are recruiting for a Warehouse Shift Manager to join our Distribution team at our Distribution Centre based in Darton. As a Shift Manager at Poundland's Digital Fulfilment Warehouse, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the day-to-day operations of the warehouse. You will ensure that all orders are processed in line with SLA. You will also be responsible for managing a team of warehouse operatives and Team Leaders, ensuring they are trained and motivated to meet the required productivity and quality standards.
This role is a full-time position working 12 hour shifts, 06:00 – 14:00

What you'll be doing...
- Ensuring the safe and efficient operation of the shift in accordance with health and safety
- Managing and motivating a team of warehouse operatives and team leaders, providing training and support where required
- Monitoring and managing inventory levels, ensuring they are maintained at all times
- Manging inbound and outbound logistics, including dispatch, receipt and storage of goods
- Implementing and maintaining processes and procedure to improve operational efficiency
- Preparing reports on warehouse performance including productivity and quality metrics

- Leadership and management skills

- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Experience in warehouse management or a similar role
- An understanding of health and safety regulations and procedures
- Knowledge of dispatch and logistics operations
- Strong communication and leadership skills
