Job description
Job Title: Groundworker
Responsibilities:
- Perform general labor duties to support construction and maintenance projects
- Assist with the installation and repair of underground utilities, such as water and sewer lines
- Operate hand tools and power equipment, including shovels, rakes, jackhammers, and compactors
- Excavate trenches and backfill holes according to project specifications
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of work sites
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
- Collaborate with team members to complete tasks efficiently and effectively
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not required
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects and working in various weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn new skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Valid driver's license is preferred but not required
