YOUR ROLE
Our Operation in Runcorn, which provides warehousing and distribution services, is looking for a dynamic and customer-focused Shift Manager.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Reporting into a Senior Operations Manager you will manage and develop a small team of around 11 warehouse colleagues, a team leader, and an admin clerk. You will take responsibility for ensuring colleagues are trained within the operation to cover any holiday, sickness, absence, or overtime. You will ensure work is allocated effectively to meet operational targets and KPI’s and guarantee customer requirements are fulfilled to the highest possible standard.
You will manage and monitor shift performance whilst driving continuous improvement at all times and ensuring that safety regulations are adhered to.
You will maintain a close working partnership with both the customer and CEVA colleagues to develop the contract. You will manage and direct a diverse team to achieve customer service and operational excellence whilst instilling a continuous improvement, best-in-class culture to drive the business forward.
This is a rotating shift - 22:00-06:00 (week 1), 14:00- 22:00 (week 2), and 06:00-14:00 (week 3).
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
Our ideal candidate will have proven experience of managing a small team within an efficient warehouse operation. You will have strong stakeholder engagement skills to enable effective interaction with the client. You will also be a strong leader who is able to motivate and develop a team to deliver positive results. You will be energetic and enthusiastic with a results-driven, continuous improvement approach.
You will need to be a highly organised team worker that shows initiative and able to work in a fast-paced environment whilst adhering to tight timescales and be able to think on your feet and problem solve to provide workable solutions to customers.
