Shift Engineer - The Harborne Hospital
We are currently recruiting for a Shift Engineers at The Harborne Hospital. Part of the World's largest private healthcare group; providing award winning primary, acute and complex care.

About the facility:
The Harborne Hospital - part of HCA Healthcare UK is a brand new 100million, purpose built 50 bed, multi-speciality private hospital opening in Birmingham in 2023. Located on the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham campus, the hospital will have the deep clinical infrastructure, equipment and facilities and expert, experienced teams to deliver full clinical pathways across a mix of specialties and sub-specialties at all levels of complexity including Cardiology, Cancer and Complex Surgery including robotics with the latest Da Vinci XI. The Harborne Hospital is the 4th NHS partnership within this network, partnering with University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Trust.
Role Overview:
As the Electrical Shift Engineer, this role is vital in providing a high standard of workmanship maintaining the existing structure and fabric of the building on a daily basis. Duties include but are not limited to:
To ensure a safe working environment is maintained at all times and to adhere to HCA Healthcare policy and procedures
Knowledge of commercial plant rooms
To work on planned preventive maintenance schedules, in line with departmental goals and objectives
Maintain accurate records and documentation appropriate to the role
Respond to and complete incoming works logged on the internal computerised maintenance management system (Engineering Central) prioritising your workload
Carry out small installation works as instructed by Estates Management Team which may involve cross discipline works
Skills and experience:
Training in relevant discipline e.g. City & Guilds NVQ Level 2 Electrical or equivalent
A good understanding of electrical systems
Relevant Qualifications (C&G or Equivalent to level 2 or level 3)
Previous experience of working in the building maintenance industry ideally within a hospital
