Job description
The marketing and publicity assistant position will work with the SVP Associate Publisher and heads of the marketing and publicity departments at TDA. In addition to assisting with administrative duties for these three roles, this position will also work within both departments on various projects. This role will allow the person a broad view of how marketing and publicity functions in a major publishing trade house.
What you'll do:
- Assisting SVP Associate Publisher, VP, Executive Director of Marketing, and Director of Marketing with administrative tasks
- Scheduling, organizing and preparing materials for weekly, monthly and seasonal meetings
- Scheduling group meetings, setting agendas, and taking notes for designated meetings, and assisting with occasional mailings
- Responsible for working with editorial to upload manuscripts and author materials to share drive on a seasonal basis
- Book travel for VP, Executive Director of Publicity’s authors and assist with mailings
- Creating and maintain seasonal assignment grids for marketing & publicity departments
What you'll bring:
- Computer competency on word, g-mail, excel, google docs
Ability to be organized, detail orientated, and a good communicator
- Interest in genre SciFi/Fantasy, Mystery Thriller, Horror, and Romance
Ideal Experience/Education:
- Internship at publishing house would be preferred but not required
- Some College or College Equivalent experience
This role will have an annual salary of $47,500.
