Are you a psychology graduate who has experience and interest in working with children and young people who have mental health or emotional well being difficulties. We have a vacancy for a full time, band 4 assistant psychologist in our Chelmsford Multidisciplinary Team in SETCAMHS. The team has a high level of expertise encompassing many clinical disciplines, psychologist, family therapist, psychotherapist, psychiatrist, social workers, nurses and counselling therapists. This creates a wide learning environment for the successful applicant. This is a varied role which offers the successful candidate the opportunity to participate in clinical and audit roles. The successful post holder will be given weekly supervision, training and support in this role.
Driven by CYIAPT (Children and Young People’s Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and the THRIVE model of care, the service provides the latest in evidence based NICE compliant psychological interventions to children, young people and their families experiencing emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties.
COVID-19 Vaccination

Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
High Cost Area Supplement – London
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,192 and a maximum payment of £2,011 per annum pro rata).

There are: Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPA), seven Locality Teams three Crisis Teams, a specialist Eating Disorders Team and Learning Disability Team . These are located across Southend, Essex and Thurrock.
