We are currently recruiting to our Sessional Register of Interpreters. This is an excellent opportunity to join a forward-thinking Interpreting Service delivering language support to non-English speakers who are accessing Foundation Trust services. Sessional interpreters work on an "as and when" needed basis to cover for staff shortages and increased demand.
We are recruiting to the following languages; Czech/Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Kurdish, Somali, Arabic (female), French (female), Tigrinya, Spanish, Ukrainian and others. Please specify on your application the languages you speak.
Summary of Experience/Skills/Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be fluent in English and one or two of the identified community languages and have the skills to interpret information accurately and professionally through face to face, video and telephone contact. Knowledge of the ethics governing public service interpreting, ability to concentrate for long periods of time, ability to use a computer and a basic awareness of ICT are also essential requirements for the position.
