As the Business Process Executive you will ensure that all commercial activity is undertaken according to corporate governance guidelines.


Purpose of the Role:

Ensure that all commercial activity is undertaken according to corporate governance guidelines. To ensure all Accounting Tasks are completed on time and accurately for IAG Cargo, as well as providing support to the Sales and Reservations Team. Deliver effective controls and audits to ensure compliance on all sold paper and metal in IAG Cargo group.


Key Accountabilities

To give context, the UK & Ireland commercial team is a compact and busy team. It has two home markets in its geographical scope, has a high level of customer contact and it operates in a fast-moving commercial environment. This context is reflected in three ways:

  • Whilst key accountabilities are role-focused, the role also has support accountability to take on other tasks to ensure customer cover is continuous from time to time.
  • Accountabilities will be adaptive to changes in the commercial environment.
  • The team expects its members to either be in the office or with customers during the normal working hours of our customers, and from time to time there will be activity outside normal working hours.

In the context of commercial process governance as set out by the Business Process Manager, ensure that all commercial processes are completed effectively with the following accountabilities:

  • Ensure that queries raised through dispute management team, that have commercial team actions, have action owners and actions are tracked through to completion in a timely and effective manner, using any relevant system.
  • Clear all Revenue and Movement control lists.
  • Complete processes to prevent billing discrepancies and revenue adjustments, such as pre-billing checks.
  • Complete processes to recover debt in a timely and accurate manner, including coordination with IAG Cargo accounting and billing teams and customer accounts teams.
  • Participate fully in continuous improvement in the execution and design of business processes, aiming to reduce billing discrepancies and revenue adjustments for example.
  • Complete processes that support effective and accurate price change activity so that all changes are completed on time.
  • Provide support for the Sales Team to ensure all accounting and compliance information is available for customer meetings and all follow-up actions are completed.

In the context of the contractual management of the consolidated UKI and N America General Sales Agent (GSA) contract, complete processes as set out a best-practice framework for the ongoing contractual management of this GSA performance, including audits.

During periods of absence or leave, this role has accountability to support other team tasks within UK and Ireland.

Act as subject matter expert for ongoing commercial projects and process improvement, particularly around CRM rollout.

Act as subject matter expert for full e2e process on all the above processes.
