This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to provide senior operational leadership within our Community Children and Young People's Services . This is a full time permanent post.

Working with the General Manager, and the senior leadership team, the successful candidate will be an inspirational leader who has the vision, commitment and ability to direct and influence change.

Leading across multiple sites, with responsibility for our children's nursing, phlebotomy, training and admin teams, you will ensure the service provides the highest standards of professional practice. You will be responsible for budgetary and performance management alongside service development, demonstrating measurable improvements and achievement of KPIs.

Key elements of the role include operational leadership to ensure the direct delivery of Community Children's Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy Services across Nottinghamshire County and Nottingham City. You will work with clinical colleagues, commissioners and key stakeholders to ensure the provision of effective, evidence-based practice to meet the needs or our local populations in line with national and local priorities.

You will be an excellent communicator with strong negotiation and influencing skills, and have an ability to lead and manage change. Likewise you will be able to make complex operational judgements and think strategically to manage a range of complex issues requiring analysis.

You will also contribute to the Trust Bronze On-Call Rota for Community Health Services, providing on-call support and advice during evenings and weekends etc.

To provide strategic planning, management and leadership across specialist multi-disciplinary, multi-agency children & young people’s teams.

Ensure services are developed and responsive to national and local guidance in accordance with the priorities of commissioners and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust to meet the needs of local parents and children with complex healthcare needs and disabilities

To work in partnership with other providers of services for children and young people to ensure continuity of provision and joined-up care.

To ensure resources within the directorate are utilised effectively and creatively to achieve best value

To establishing and sustain the rigorous use of case auditing, quality assurance, structures and systems which can be used for both business planning and service development in all Children and Young People’s services.

To work within the agreed safeguarding procedures for vulnerable adults, children and young people, and those in need of protection
