Job description
You are invited to apply for the role of Administrative and Personal Assistant to Prof. Ellie Barnes at the University of Oxford. You will support Ellie in her role as Chief Investigator for the DeLIVER program, a new CRUK funded award that aims to detect liver cancer early and other major programs of work, including, but not limited to; COVID immunology and new vaccines for viral hepatitis, and in her roles as subtheme / theme leader for the planned Oxford biomedical research NIHR application.
Duties will be wide ranging and will include routine secretarial duties such as coordination of meetings, travel and diary arrangements, plus supporting the preparation of meeting reports and manuscripts, web and information support. You must have a professional outlook, excellent communication skills and written skills. You must also possess good IT skills and show good attention to detail. You must be flexible in taking up varied duties to support Ellie Barnes and hepatology at Oxford. You will form part of a team of researchers both locally and nationally in a role that will be interactive and varied.
This post is available for a fixed-term period up to 18 months and it is part-time at 18 hours a week. Flexible hours and remote working for some of the time would be acceptable.
