Job description
It’s easy to think the only thing important to a Support Worker or Healthcare Assistant is the day-to-day of the job. The people you’re caring for. Your employer and your contract are basically interchangeable. What difference does it make who you’re working for? It’s only important who you’re working with. The rest is just admin. Isn’t it? Sure, the parameters of your job don’t change. But that’s not to say who you work for can’t make things harder. Or easier. Like, it’d be easier if you earned competitive rates, so you knew you were being rewarded fairly, and wouldn’t be doing better somewhere else. It’d be easier if your agency understood the job you do, so they’re sympathetic to what you go through. It’d be easier if they were a smaller outfit, so you’re more than just a number to them. If the looking-after-people part stayed the same, but the other stuff was easier, surely that’d be worth a look?
Next Generation Care Agency are offering support workers and healthcare assistants full or part-time rates from £10.65. It’s paid weekly, with an extra £2 per hour spot pay bonus for shifts you work the same day they’re offered.
As an agency, we sit alongside two sister companies, both of which are social care providers. That means we deal with (on a daily basis) the same issues you face. We “get it” and aren’t some far-removed desk-jockeys in a city-centre office.
We’re close-knit enough that we’ll know you, your routine, and your home commitments. You’ll get to know us and be able to talk without it feeling like we’re just some uncaring suits.
And the job? You already know it. It’s providing support to those who need it. Building relationships with the vulnerable, some of whom have challenging conditions.
As for you, you don’t need to be able to drive. You don’t need a DBS yet either, as we’ll help you secure one.
All you need is at least 6 month’s professional care experience within the UK and the motivation and empathy to remain a Healthcare Worker.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Salary: £10.65 -£16.77 per hour
