Anxiety UK was formed in 1970, by Katharine and Harold Fisher because of Katharine’s experience of agoraphobia and her desire to develop support for others similarly affected.
Since those early beginnings, we’ve grown to become a national organisation with an international reach delivering a wide range of services including helpline and psychological therapies.
Our mission is to help make the despair caused by anxiety a thing of the past.
We are looking for a Services Manager to join the senior management team to manage the charity's services, line manage staff and support the organisation in achieving its overall strategy.
Summary of duties
The postholder concerned will lead on the management, development, delivery, and evaluation of all Anxiety UK’s services, including providing line management support.

Main Duties
1. To manage, develop, oversee and quality assure all Anxiety UK services, ensuring the highest standard of service delivery and clinical governance including, but not limited to, organisation of Anxiety UK Approved Therapist CPD events, training for volunteers, facilitators and assessors in the services area of the charity.
2. To ensure all services run optimally, meeting demand and maximising uptake.
3. To lead on staff management; providing effective line management supervision to relevant staff.
4. To manage complaints, incidents, and online reviews across all areas in accordance with Anxiety UK policies.
5. To lead on the monitoring and evaluation of all services, including production of timely reports, undertaking of service reviews and review of services' documentation, and actively seeking qualitative feedback.
6. To work with senior staff members to identify and develop new services.
7. To lead on the mobilisation of new services.
8. To work with senior staff members as an active member of the Senior Management Team on various projects and initiatives including for example, the implementation of cross-charity projects e.g., IT, data security, training.
9. To lead on safeguarding across the charity

At least two years’ experience of working in a management, or service management, or equivalent role (E)
Experience of overseeing clinical services and/or, services delivered on a national footprint (D)
At least two years’ experience of managing, supervising, appraising, and performance managing staff (E)
Experience of managing a service (E)
Experience of managing complaints and incidents at managerial level (E)
Experiencing of mobilising new projects/services including cross-organisational projects (D)
Experience of undertaking service reviews & leading on implementation of recommendations arising from reviews (E)
