Scot Industrial Air are looking for a skilled Engineer to join our team. As an Engineer with SIA, you will visit a variety of customer sites throughout the area to carry out maintenance, repairs and services on our customers machines to a high standard.
Our main depot is located in Aberdeen however the majority of your time will be spent out on site and you will not be required to visit the depot every day. Therefore, we are open to applications from candidates who reside out with Aberdeen, for example in Moray or Inverness-shire.

Salary: Competitive hourly rate + overtime + bonus

Key duties and responsibilities:
- Carrying out fault finding inspections and repairs of compressors at customer sites and in our depot as required - in conformance with manufacturer’s specification and any regulations affecting their use
- Ensuring that there is no deficiency or defect likely to affect the safe working of a machine – and notifying appropriate manager of any defective or unsafe equipment
- Accurately completing all relevant paperwork on a handheld device
- Submitting daily timesheets and job cards
- Accurately ordering your parts and working closely with the parts department
- Working closely with the service supervisor
- Helping to train and mentor apprentice engineers
The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in a similar role working on Compressed Air equipment, or motivation to learn about this type of equipment (training provided)
- Relevant qualifications e.g. City and Guild, NVQ or SVQ in Engineering/Electrics/HGV/Vehicle (essential)
- Experience in industrial compressed air, compressed air systems and installations, diesel engines, electrics, hydraulics, transmissions, and fault finding using electronic diagnostic equipment
- The ability to prioritise tasks and work well in a busy environment
- Great customer service skills and the ability to build rapport with our customers
- Good IT skills
- A flexible and positive outlook with an outgoing approach to work
