As Project Manager (Heritage) within CLG, you’ll have a unique opportunity to play a leading role in the protection and improvement of our built heritage, with exposure to a variety of high-profile clients and stakeholders. From working on the Royal Courts of Justice, to transforming the former Royal London Hospital into a vibrant new Town Hall; there is a wide range of interesting and historically important projects across the South East.
What you’ll be doing…
- Be the key liaison with the client, contractors, and designers
- Conducting background research, data collection and benchmarking
- Working on a range of heritage, historical, residential, or mixed-use projects, at the enabling stage
- Monitoring and documenting project progress and other performance indicators
- Preparing formal project progress and other reports
- Preparing presentation materials for client pitches, etc.
What you’ll bring…
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Demonstrable experience of working on historically challenging or listed buildings and of liaising with planning authorities, and stakeholders such as Historic England and The 20thCentury Society
- A strategic mind and solution orientated approach to problems
- Willingness to travel to London / Home Counties / South East when necessary
A “nice to have” …
- Cognate qualification (construction, real estate, planning, engineering)
- Holding or working towards MRICS or MCIOB
- Broad understanding of the development lifecycle (business case, design, consents, procurement, delivery, handover, management)
- Direct experience of on-site construction under JCT or NEC contract forms
We look forward to hearing from you!
