About the Job
We are looking to recruit an experienced multi drop service driver to cover Ayrshire. We allocate work to to our staff in the neighbouring postcodes where they live when possible.
You’ll have your own company vehicle at home, therefore, in your company uniform, you’ll either travel to your first customer of the day, or head to our offices in East Kilbride to load your van for your day’s customers.
The ideal person will have to be customer focused to join our existing team of service operatives. You will be a key point of contact for our customers, providing a professional service and ensuring that we meet service provision targets whilst ensuring compliance with all procedures and regulations.
The role entails the servicing of washroom and hygiene products including feminine hygiene units, nappy units, air fresheners, soap / sanitiser dispensers and entrance mats. We also deal with clinical waste products including sharps units.
We expect our new addition to be able to practice and promote the safe use of all equipment in accordance with health and safety policies and safe system of work practices. We require our drivers to provide excellent customer service at all times and escalate any customer issues to our service team immediately.
You will have good communication skills to be clear and confident in your communication with customers and office based colleagues. You will be self-motivated, reliable and proactive in situations where is it required. We need our staff to be reasonably flexible with working hours - on occasion starting at 6am or earlier, and have the attitude to assist our service team for tasks that may present as the day goes on. The ability to use your own initiative is very important.
Applicants must be in possession of a valid UK driving license with a good geographical knowledge within the central belt being advantageous. Washroom hygiene service experience is preferred.
Additional duties may include warehouse tasks, loading and unloading of units and entrance mats. This role can be physically demanding, therefore a good level of fitness is required.
Salary is reviewed on an annual basis. Sales lead commission for advising our sales team of new opportunities may also be earned.
