Are you ready to kick-start your career in the exciting world of IT? Do you have a passion for problem-solving, innovation, and technology? Look no further! Farnell Global is offering an incredible opportunity to join our IT Department based in Leeds on an 18 month apprenticeship.

You will be joining a market leader in the Electronics distribution industry, we have customers in the Automotive, Aerospace, Healthcare, Ministry of Defence industries to name a few. We are at the forefront of technology and a key cog in the manufacturing of many products you will no doubt be familiar with.

As an IT Apprentice, you will embark on a comprehensive learning journey that combines theoretical knowledge with practical hands-on experience. You will be mentored by our experienced IT professionals who will guide you through various projects, ensuring your continuous growth and development. This apprenticeship is designed to equip you with the skills and expertise needed to excel in the IT industry

What will you be doing as an IT Apprentice?

  • Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of hardware and software systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by users.
  • Provide excellent customer service and support to end-users.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver IT solutions.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies.

Training to be provided:

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 3 Information Communications Technician, with training in how to:

  • Efficiently operate and control your ICT infrastructure – physical or virtual hardware, software, network services and data storage.
  • Use infrastructure management tools to automate the provisioning, testing, deployment and monitoring of infrastructure components.
  • Prioritise systems support tasks and monitor and maintaining system performance
  • Maintain regulatory, legal and professional standards.
  • Support the information systems needs for your business.
