Post: Service Desk Advisor
Salary: Scale 3 - £21,432 - £22,677
Hours: 37 hours per week
Contract Type: Permanent
Location: St Marks House, Thornaby, Stockton-on-Tees (with flexibility for some home working once fully trained in post)
Applications are invited for the post of Service Desk Advisor, Business Support, based at St Mark’s House in Thornaby.
Communications skills are key for this role so if you are confident in taking a range of calls and queries, and possess a customer focused approach, this job could be for you. As a Service Desk Advisor you will be the first point of contact for the officers and staff within Cleveland police for queries ranging from forgotten passwords to accommodation bookings.
You will need to be organised and methodical, ensuring job tickets are logged and resolved appropriately. Queries will be varied with some being more complex than others so we are seeking candidates who take ownership and where necessary identify any issues and escalate any required service improvements to the Service Desk Team Leader.
Candidates must have excellent IT skills, with the ability to learn new systems quickly. You will need to work to deadlines, ensuring that you prioritise appropriately whilst also working with a high degree of accuracy.
Although not essential it would be advantageous if you have previous administrative experience or have worked in a call centre.
