About the Role

Base Location: Reading

Salary: £44,195 to £50,611 + a range of other benefits to support your family, finances, and wellbeing.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available.

What is the Role?

Enterprise IT supports a dynamic and varied business, which is comprised of complimentary verticals which underpin its Whole Systems Thinking (WST) approach. You will work as part of the team to support delivery of high-performance end-to-end IT services, supporting SSE Enterprise business services to established SLAs.

  • Support to the Service Delivery Manager in implementation of innovation and continuous improvement which will help drive value for the business.
  • Responsible for Obsolescence and Vulnerability reporting, supporting infrastructure teams in active detection and mitigation.
  • Responsible for maintaining Penetration Testing records and supporting Business Continuity efforts in cooperation with infrastructure teams.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the department, working holistically.
  • Support major Incident resolution via incident management process and interaction with business and IT stakeholders.
  • Contribute to service review meetings for the business and with vendors.
  • Responsible for ensuring continued safety, security, and integrity of IT services by ensuring compliance with audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Working alongside project/product teams ensuring services dovetail into existing support patterns.
  • Support creation of service catalogue items and bundles.

Whilst not essential, the following would also be advantageous:

  • Knowledge of IT Service Management and ITIL standards.
  • Experience with the ServiceNow toolset.
