You will be working at Foremark and Staunton Harold, two countryside sites under the care of the Calke Abbey portfolio. The sites are working reservoirs owned by Severn Trent with the land management and operations managed by the National Trust team. As part of a small but passionate Visitor Experience team, you'll be ensuring our diverse range of visitors receive a warm welcome and have a brilliant day out.
What you'll be doing:Visitors are a vital part of what we do. As the Service Assistant it’s your role to ensure that the welcome our visitors receive is perfect, setting them up for an amazing experience for the rest of the day. In this role, you’ll be;
- Working alongside a small staff team delivering outstanding customer service across the two sites
- Welcoming our visitors to the property, providing information and orientation
- Supporting visitors with using our pay and display car park machines and maintaining these so they're in good working order
- Championing high standards of presentation, including checking toilets, emptying bins and litter picking to ensure the sites look their best
- Having proactive conversations with our visitors about BBQs, water access and dogs to ensure everyone can enjoy their day
- Promote events, offers, products and benefits of actively supporting the National Trust
- Support across the property/portfolio when required
- A can-do attitude
- Genuine enthusiasm for working with people
- A willingness to learn new skills
- Ability to work well in a team or on your own
- Good understanding of the National Trust and what we do
